Locking in sustainable pathways is a project led by SEI, a partner of the JustRE Alliance, that explores how wind energy expansion in La Guajira, Colombia, can be more equitable and socially inclusive.
With over 60 planned wind parks, local communities—especially Indigenous Peoples—face significant impacts. The research identifies barriers to social acceptance, fosters dialogue, and provides policy recommendations for fair renewable energy development. It aims to align energy transition goals with justice and local well-being through participatory approaches.
