IDEAR Guajira is a program by SEI, a JustRE Alliance partner, dedicated to promoting Guajira renewable energy initiatives with a focus on inclusivity and equity. The project aims to create a collaborative platform to accelerate wind energy deployment in La Guajira, Colombia, while ensuring socially beneficial outcomes for local communities, including the Wayuu Indigenous Peoples.
Through an information access observatory, community advisor training, public sector support, and international learning networks, IDEAR Guajira addresses key challenges related to social acceptance, equity, and benefit-sharing in the renewable energy sector.
